As an Associate Private Wealth Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting advisors through business development, proposal generation, and client onboarding within the private wealth segment. You’ll partner closely with MassMutual’s Wealth Management Business Development team to position advisors for success in the evolving private wealth marketplace.
The Team
This role is critical to driving growth and positioning advisors as trusted partners for affluent clients. As part of a dynamic sales team, you will act as an internal wholesaler, delivering a differentiated new-business experience and helping advisors navigate complex planning scenarios. You’ll collaborate with experts in investment, tax, and estate planning to create integrated solutions that address the challenges of concentrated wealth, generational planning, and liquidity strategies. At the core of this offering is helping advisors deliver exceptional outcomes for their most valued clients.
The Impact
In this role, you will:
- Serve as an Associate Private Wealth Consultant, leveraging your expertise in portfolio management, advanced planning, and high-net-worth strategies.
- Partner and collaborate with the External Private Wealth Consultant to drive territory results of net flows into the assigned region.
- Partner with advisors and internal teams to design creative, customized solutions for affluent clients.
- Deliver a seamless proposal and onboarding experience that reflects the complexity and sophistication of private wealth planning.
- Collaborate with specialists across investment, tax, and estate planning to create compelling solutions that differentiate MassMutual and its advisors.
- Identify opportunities for advisor education in areas such as wealth transfer, liquidity planning, and alternative investments.
- Capture advisor and client feedback to continuously refine our private wealth offering.
- Provide consultative case design and technical support to advisors, including investment strategies, estate planning concepts, and advanced planning solutions.
- Create compelling proposals and presentations tailored to high-net-worth clients and families.
- Coordinate internal resources to ensure a smooth onboarding experience and timely execution of complex cases.
- Deliver marketing collateral and investment illustrations to support advisor engagement and new business development.
- Partner with Wealth Management Business Development to deepen advisor relationships and expand private wealth capabilities.
- Facilitate advisor training on private wealth strategies and solutions.
The Minimum Qualifications
- 3+ years of investment management, trust, or financial services experience
- 1+ year of selling or supporting financial solutions within an advisor channel
- FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 at time of application or must obtain within 6 months of hire
- Bachelor's Degree
The Ideal Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Experience with more complex investment, trust and private client service solutions designed for the high-net-worth market segment
- CFA, CIMA, CTFA, ChFC or CFP designations
