Description

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Warehouse & Logistics Manager is responsible for the warehousing, inventory, and distribution functions of finished goods and raw materials to provide service levels that meets or exceeds customer expectations at the lowest possible costs. Supports a collaborative team environment; carries out the accountabilities via the teams and coordinators. Works closely with the entire Supply Chain Team - Logistics, Customer Service, Planning, operations, maintenance and sales and Customers - to optimize results.

  • Ensure all employees are onboarded, trained and auditing to ensure being followed
  • Responsible for ensuring warehouse personnel are trained in the safe and efficient performance of their duties.
  • Responsible to deliver continuous improvement about the customer service index, with the vision of >99.9% level. This should be accomplished by utilizing CTG continuous improvement tools.
  • Flexibility to adjust department operations as required to meet customer requirements and dynamic business conditions.
  • Meets with key customers and carriers regularly to understand their requirements with goal of being "preferred."
  • Assist in the analysis of customer complaints and develop recommendations for corrective action.
  • Responsible for raw material and finished goods cycle counts. Also coordinates and manages annual physical inventory.
  • Use systems and tools to manage inventory levels, warehouse layout, and material handling practices to assure on-time, damage free delivery.
  • Ensures warehouse mobile and stationary equipment are regularly inspected, maintained and rues of the road followed to provide a safe environment.
  • Prepares, tracks, and adheres to departmental budget.
  • Drives continuous improvement and efficiency within the process and team

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) in Business, Engineering, or a related field OR equivalent training and relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, logistics, warehouse, shipping, and/or customer service–related environments
  • Minimum of 3 years of people management and supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in inventory management
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that begins later in the day and extends into the early evening
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to anticipate and respond to customer needs
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, and adjust priorities to achieve business results while supporting a positive employee experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with others

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP experience – strongly preferred
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
