Description
The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for coordinating the shipping activity of finished components, receiving components and putting away received components in warehouse rack, pulling components for the Kitting process. The Warehouse lead should be agile and a fast learner, have fair knowledge in managing emails and with systems, and should be flexible with shifts and overtime.
- Train and cross-train warehouse associates on all processes and operations in their assigned area.
- Safely operate a forklift
- Maintain weekly cycle counts
- Loading and Unloading Material (53’ vans, rail cars and containers) from a dock and outdoor yard during all seasons and weather conditions
- Read and understand what product(s) to select, how to load and unload trucks based off pick documents and bills of lading
- Processes Material Movement Transactions in SAP with a very high level of accuracy (Transfer Orders, Scrap and Bin to Bin Movements)
- Follows the Logistics Standard Operating Procedures Support and Maintain Warehouse stock location system and code dates to ensure proper inventory turns and adherence to FIFO principles
- Processes Customer Shipments using the outbound process flow in SAP that will ensure optimal location loading, efficient manpower usage and accurate inventory transactions
- Receives Incoming Finished Goods and Raw Materials and verifies accuracy using SAP system
- Processes Miscellaneous paperwork & logs data
- Provides high level Service to Customers and Transportation providers
- Works with Inventory System to create reports and analytical information required to resolve issues with Orders and Inventory
- Utilize 5-S in maintaining warehouse and office areas
- Participate in hiring process
- Show initiative through continuous improvement in safety, quality and efficiency of the department by communication
- Take part in/conduct daily/weekly/monthly/etc. performance meetings

What do you bring?
- Minimum High School Diploma/GED
- Minimum 3+ Years Warehouse/Supply Chain experience
- Minimum 2 Years Forklift Operating Experience
- Current Forklift License
- Good working knowledge of Warehouse/Shipping policies, procedures, operations and general transportation processes. Ability to fill in for Warehouse Supervisor as needed
- Attention to detail and proficiency with internal computer systems including SAP and Microsoft Office
- Good oral communication skills
- Strong Team Leadership skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Able to support disaster recovery plans to ensure customers receive uninterrupted service during times of crisis
- Excellent Attendance Practices required
- Ability to deal calmly and effectively with high stress situations, sensitivity to other’s needs and maintain a positive demeanor.
- Ability to stand for long hours and complete tasks that may include: walking, bending, twisting, gripping, stair and ladder climbing, entering confined spaces, navigating rough terrain and lifting up to 75 lbs.
