Description
The Warehouse & Inventory Specialist supports CGI Federal's logistics operations by performing warehouse functions including receiving, storing, inventorying, and distributing materials, equipment, and supplies in support of Department of Defense contract requirements. This position requires attention to detail, physical capability to handle materials, and the ability to maintain accurate records in compliance with federal regulations and contract specifications.
This position is located in Jacksonville, FL.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
.Receives incoming shipments, verifies contents against packing lists and purchase orders, inspects materials for damage, and documents discrepancies in accordance with CGI Federal procedures
.Operates material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move materials throughout the warehouse facility
.Maintains organized storage areas using established location systems and ensures proper stacking, spacing, and accessibility of inventory
.Conducts periodic cycle counts and physical inventories to maintain accurate accountability of all materials and equipment in support of government asset visibility requirements
.Prepares outgoing shipments by selecting, packing, labeling, and staging items according to shipping requirements and transportation regulations
.Maintains warehouse cleanliness, safety standards, and security protocols in accordance with OSHA requirements, CGI Federal policies, and contract specifications
.Documents all transactions in inventory management systems and generates required reports for government oversight and contract compliance
.Coordinates with CGI Federal logistics personnel, supply chain managers, program managers, and transportation providers to ensure timely movement of materials
.Performs routine maintenance checks on material handling equipment and reports malfunctions to supervisors
.Supports continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency and accuracy
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
.High school diploma or equivalent
.Minimum one year of warehouse operations experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
.Valid driver's license with clean driving record
.Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance, which requires US citizenship
.Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire
.Proficiency with inventory management software and basic computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite
.Strong organizational skills with demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy
.Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
.Capability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 75 pounds with assistance
.Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods during shift
.Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and customer service
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
.Previous experience supporting Department of Defense or federal government contracts
.Familiarity with military supply chain operations, logistics terminology, and DoD property accountability procedures
.Experience with RF scanning devices and warehouse management systems (WMS)
.HAZMAT handling certification
.Experience with Total Asset Visibility (TAV) or similar inventory tracking systems
.Current Secret security clearance
.Prior experience working for a government contractor or systems integrator

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $45,600.00 - $60,100.00.
