Warehouse Attendant/Parts Runner

SSI is a mid-sized HVAC/Plumbing Company servicing Fairfax, Loudoun, and Prince William Counties. We are seeking a determined individual that can work independently in the warehouse to help technicians and employees with daily tasks. This candidate would be responsible for maintaining and controlling the warehouse inventory, receiving shipments, unloading and loading trucks, maintaining orderliness and cleanliness of the warehouse and preforming other daily tasks as needed.

This position is a great starting point for a candidate looking to potentially get into the HVAC or Plumbing industry. There is opportunity to potentially move into the field at this position.

Job Responsibilities

• Receiving, storing and sometimes delivering materials
• Pick up materials from vendors and deliver to job sites
• Load or unload supplies while it is being received or when being sent out to job sites
• May involve indoor (warehouse/office) and outdoor (job sites/vendor locations) working areas
• Ensure that warehouse is kept clean and safety codes are followed
• Use excellent customer service skills; establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, officials and all members of the general public
• Keep track of in stock materials and report to manager to re-order

Qualifications

• Be able to work at a rapid pace to get parts delivered and maintain the warehouse itself
• Excellent physical health is required as this position will involve loading and unloading supplies. The work is physically demanding and requires lifting, bending or standing for long periods of time
• Must pay attention to details
• Training and certification may be required to operate a forklift
