Job Summary: As a Cloud Infrastructure Security Engineer I, you will assist with the security of cloud environments and on-premise infrastructure. You will be involved in implementing security controls, managing access, and helping with vulnerability assessments. This role is an excellent starting point for learning how to secure complex cloud and hybrid environments.

About the Team: The Cloud Infrastructure Security team at Bloomberg Industry Group is responsible for ensuring the security of cloud-based infrastructure and on-premise systems. The team manages identity and access management (IAM), container security, and vulnerability management to ensure the protection of the organization’s infrastructure.

What You Will Do:

• Assist in securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premise systems, ensuring compliance with security policies.

• Help with configuring and managing Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems to control and monitor access to cloud resources.

• Participate in vulnerability management efforts, including scanning cloud and on-prem environments and tracking remediation efforts.

• Support container security efforts by helping to implement security controls within containerized environments (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).

• Assist in auditing and securing cloud networking and storage configurations.

• Stay up to date on emerging cloud and infrastructure security threats and tools.

You Need to Have:

• Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure security concepts.

• Familiarity with IAM, vulnerability scanning tools, and basic container security practices.

• Some experience with cloud-based and on-premise systems management.

• An Associates degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• 0-3 years of experience in cloud or infrastructure security, or equivalent skills and expertise.
