Description

The Production Supervisor is responsible for managing shop employees and implementing all production operations in a manufacturing environment.

  • Plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures and working conditions.
  • Showcase strong leadership and people skills with the ability to grasp technical concepts and translate to effectively mentor employees and achieve production department KPIs
  • Successful leadership will result in a highly trained and motivated workforce that works closely with support groups to ensure capable manufacturing processes meeting quality objectives with consistent cost improvements.
  • Working in conjunction with Engineering to ensure high quality products are produced in a safe and efficient manner while maximizing capacity with minimum cost.
  • Responsible for operational excellence and ensuring continuous improvement in safety, quality, and production efficiency utilizing WCM methodologies.
  • The position relies on having extensive experience in coating and laminating and the judgment and ability to plan and accomplish the group’s goals while utilizing creativity as well as excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Production Supervisor will work closely with all departments to effectively deliver on Safety, Production, Quality, and people initiatives.
  • Responsible for purchasing supplies and safety items for the manufacturing team.
  • Backup to the Production Manager for all shifts.


IS THIS JOB FOR YOU?

  • 5 years of experience in a production/manufacturing environment working in Metalizing or Coating industry a PLUS; 10 years supervisor experience
  • Experience using problem solving tools such as five “Whys”, Kaizen, Fishbone diagrams, Lean Six Sigma, etc.
  • Able to communicate company goals and initiatives to employees.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and work within specified timelines.
  • Must have the ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and have the flexibility to support operations in accordance with departmental and company schedules and priorities.
  • Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, technical aptitude, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong team skills, including the ability to coach and develop work teams and provide appropriate training.
  • The ability to motivate/empower others and resolve conflict.
  • Must be flexible and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills. Proficient with Microsoft including Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Experience using ERP software preferable
  • Some Travel Required. Primarily local during the business day. May on occasion travel to appropriate seminars and training.

Pay Transparency:

Certain locations require pay information be provided in job postings. We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $72,500 to $111,500 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 9% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $79,000 to $121,500. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
