Description
Troon is seeking a highly motivated Operations Intern to gain hands-on experience in corporate management, customer service, and overall club operations. This internship provides an opportunity to learn from industry professionals while assisting in daily golf and hospitality operations. Students will have insight into retail, golf operations, agronomy, F&B, and Sales.
Program Details:
- 12-week program focused on various departments within our corporate and field operations teams.
- The intern will complete a group project alongside fellow interns from other departments.
- This role is in person 5 days a week at our office in North Scottsdale.
Essential Duties:
- Understand corporate resources and Troon leverage.
- Understand overall daily golf operations, including tee sheet management, check-in procedures, and pace of play monitoring.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment for members, guests and clients.
- Support tournament and event operations, including preparation, execution, and breakdown.
- Maintain golf cart fleet, practice facilities, and overall course presentation.
- Enforce corporate and course policies and procedures to enhance the guest experience.
- Assist with pro shop operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and sales.
- Collaborate with golf professionals, clients, and course management to ensure operational efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors to support the success of Troon Corporate.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Golf Management, Hospitality, Business, or a related field.
- Passion for golf and strong knowledge of golf course operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic computer skills; experience with golf management software is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in outdoor conditions.
