Role Description:
The Manager of Strategic Events at Okta will oversee the creation, planning, and execution of large-scale, high-impact events and experiences for our global teams. This role is pivotal in driving the success of Okta’s annual Company Kickoff (CKO) and Global Sales Kickoff (SKO) events. These key events are essential for aligning our teams with company goals, fostering collaboration, sharing knowledge, and celebrating achievements. This role will build strong relationships across the Global Enablement team, partner alliances and executive sponsors, as well as influence cross-functional partners to deliver on shared goals. The ideal candidate will be a strong communicator with a keen eye for detail, and a desire to create memorable and impactful experiences.
Responsibilities:
Event Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for CKO and SKO events, aligning with the Global Enablement team.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define event goals, content, and success metrics.
- Create detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure seamless execution.
- Manage all aspects of event logistics, including venue selection, vendor management, and production.
- Ensure clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders throughout the event lifecycle.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver high-quality events on time and within budget.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, encouraging creativity and innovation.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
Post-Event Analysis & Reporting
- Track ROI, engagement, and audience feedback to measure results, assess opportunities for improvement, and optimize future events
Required Skills:
- 5+ years experience in corporate event marketing, preferably within the tech industry
- Excellent knowledge of hands-on experience with all aspects of event management, logistics, vendor negotiation and marketing
- Strong executive presence and communication skills
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage multiple projects simultaneously and communicate effectively about priorities and updates to stakeholders.
- Exceptional client and vendor management skills.

Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, Illinois, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. In addition, Okta offers equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits, including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave (including PTO and parental leave) in accordance with our applicable plans and policies.
