Description

The Human Resources Generalist has an active role in supporting the overall Shared Services Human Resources team, as well as employees and managers. This role will work in a fast-paced environment and help the team achieve organizational objectives through supporting people initiatives, process improvements, and data analytics. This is a hybrid position based out of our Malvern, PA location.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

General HR Support:

  • Provides day-to-day HR support and serves as a key resource to employees at all levels, ensuring consistent interpretation and application of the Company’s HR policies, procedures and programs related to employment, compensation, benefits, and performance management.
  • Creates and maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
  • Guides managers through the annual performance review cycle, ensuring clear understanding of the rating scales, pay for performance principles, and importance of delivering feedback to their direct reports.
  • Assists employees throughout the employment lifecycle, including on/off boarding, leave of absence, and retirement processes.
  • Reviews annual engagement survey results with leaders and partners with them on the development of action plans.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally on ad-hoc HR initiatives.

Data and Systems:

  • Completes necessary employee change forms and performs timely audits of all data entered in the HRIS by the team’s HR Coordinator. This role is responsible for ensuring credible information is available on a timely basis, including but not limited to all newly hired employees, terminations, promotions, transfer data, rate changes, and reporting changes.
  • Creates, runs, and distributes ad-hoc HRIS reports, including but not limited to employee rosters, reporting relationships, and individual management requests as directed.
  • Performs analysis including a variety of human resource metrics and benchmarking data.

Employee Relations:

  • With the support of the HR Manager, this position provides day-to-day performance guidance regarding employee relations, to include coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary action, and conducting effective and objective investigations.
  • Research and troubleshoot employee questions through collaboration with Payroll, HRIS, Total Rewards and Learning & Development.

Is this job for you?

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, or related field required.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR preferred.
  • 4+ years working in a complex HR organization.
  • Prior HR Generalist experience is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced excel skills required. This position will collect, compile, and analyze HR data, metrics, and statistics, and apply this data to make recommendations related to recruitment, retention, and workforce planning.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced environment, demonstrating a high level of integrity and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle high volume of work efficiently. Must have strong attention to detail and error prevention.
  • Excellent written / verbal communication skills are required to be successful in this role.
  • Very good analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of sound decision making. Proven ability to work without frequent supervision.
  • Travel may be required.
