JOB SUMMARY: The Director of Regional and Global Engagement provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for initiatives that advance the College's regional partnerships and global presence. This position supports the Dean and all CAAC academic units. This role is integral to executing the College's vision for outreach and engagement across regions and disciplines, aligning with the three pillars of Clemson Elevate: Transform Lives, Drive Innovation, and Build Community. Performs other duties as assigned. JOB DUTIES: 35% - Essential - International Engagement for students: Develop, implement, and manage international programs for the Department of Art, the Nieri Department of Construction Science and Management, and broader CAAC initiatives. Work closely with the School of Architecture study abroad coordinator. Expand Study Abroad and global learning opportunities for students in CAAC's academic programs. Foster partnerships with global institutions, organizations, and networks that enhance CAAC's academic and professional footprint. Support international recruitment and retention efforts in collaboration with University and CAAC partners. 35% - Essential - Regional Engagement for faculty, students, and staff: Build and sustain partnerships and collaborative projects across South Carolina, including community engagement initiatives, service learning projects, and other experiential learning opportunities for students. Strengthen connectivity and coordination between main campus and CAAC's satellite locations in Greenville and Charleston. Serve as the Dean's liaison for regional engagement, working closely with President's Office and other campus leaders to advance community and economic development partnerships. Identify and pursue opportunities for CAAC to contribute to regional workforce and industry needs. 15% - Essential - Campus Liaison for CAAC: Represent CAAC in campus-wide committees related to international affairs and regional engagement. Broaden engagement beyond international student-focused activities to include faculty partnerships, regional initiatives, and cross-departmental and cross-college collaborations. Serve as the liaison for CAAC for the Clemson Office of Global Engagement. 15% - Essential - Faculty Exchange Activities Assist with faculty exchange programs, collaborative research partnerships, and visiting scholar initiatives. Support faculty in developing international and regional partnerships that enhance teaching, research, and outreach. Coordinate logistics, agreements, and reporting for faculty mobility and engagement initiatives. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education - Bachelor's Degree and relevant program experience. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: Experience - Minimum of one year of relevant experience. Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. RESPONSIBILITIES JOB KNOWLEDGE Fundamental Job Knowledge - Fundamental working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to apply in varied situations SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees. BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Stand for prolonged period Sit (stationary position) for prolonged period Walk or move about Communicate, converse, give direction, express oneself WORKING CONDITIONS: 10% - Overnight Travel WORK SCHEDULE: Standard Hrs: 37.5/ COMPENSATION INFORMATION Expected Salary Range ($ 57,334.00 - $ 75,000.00) Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines. ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL Normal Operations Required to follow emergency facility closure directives, and not normally expected work on-site during emergency situations.
