Calance Client (Hereafter “CLIENT”), established in Silicon Valley in 2015 and now a wholly owned subsidiary of Japanese leading innovator in predictive analytics for water utilities. Their cloud-based SaaS platform leverages Machine LearningBig Data, and GIS technologies to help utilities optimize capital planning, reduce costs, and improve reliability and sustainability.

Our solution calculates Likelihood of Failure (LOF) and Consequence of Failure (COF) for water mains by analyzing pipe attributes, historical failures, and environmental factors—empowering utilities to prioritize pipe replacement without the need for IoT hardware.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to lead sales and strategic growth initiatives in the U.S. market. This is a unique opportunity to join a proven technology company with over 100 existing customers and help expand our footprint in the water utility sector.

The ideal candidate will have strong connections within water utilities or public works, proven B2B sales experience, and the ability to independently develop and execute business strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new business development and expand market presence among water utilities and public agencies.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies, including prospecting, pipeline management, and closing deals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the water industry.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on marketing initiatives and product positioning.
  • Represent Fracta.ai at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.
  • Provide feedback to leadership on market trends and customer needs.

Qualifications

  • Required:
  • Experience in water utilities or public works.
  • Minimum 3 years of B2B sales experience.
  • Speak, Write and read English proficiency.
  • Ability to work independently and create business plans with a trial-and-error mindset.
  • Bachelor Degree in Business or relevant field.
  • Preferred:
  • Existing network and connections in the water utilities industry.
  • Familiarity with SaaS solutions and/or AI technologies.

Location & Travel

  • Remote work from anywhere in the U.S.
  • Northern California preferred.
  • Travel required for client meetings and industry events.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: DOE (Approx. $100K in CA) + Commission Plan.
