Description
The Business Development Manager works closely with the Business Development Team to research prospective clients, qualify prospects and generate leads for the team in the form of management agreements, leases, strategic partnerships, and advisory services opportunities.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Research clubs that could be prospects for Troon management or lease opportunities
- Discover contact information for targeted opportunities via internet and phone, and then compile it into Troon CRM tools
- Proactively contact qualified prospects in an effort to generate new leads
- Utilize AI and other technologies to develop new strategies for lead generation
- Communicate with prospective clients, including lending institutions, developers, individual course owners, municipalities, strategic partnership candidates, and other prospects, to evaluate their needs and determine if they could be a fit for Troon
- Assist Business Development Team with the preparation of RFP responses, proposals, and presentations
- Analyze and summarize the competitive golf markets for Troon prospects utilizing demographic software, internet research, and other available resources
- Analyze prospects' financial statements, including data on rounds, revenue streams, profit centers, departmental expenses, debt structure, leases, and cash flows
- Interface with an existing network of Troon managers and other industry professionals to assist in the qualification of prospects
- Work within CRM tool to accurately track opportunities throughout the sales cycle
- Monitor and update successful case studies for the team to use with prospects
- Create and update important tools for the team to utilize during the sales process
- Other related duties as assigned by the Business Development Team
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be well-organized, efficient, and detail-oriented
- Must have excellent interpersonal/relationship-building skills
- Must be proficient with technology, including the use of CRM tools (i.e., Dynamics 365), Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other systems
- Previous golf industry and management company experience is a plus
