The Sri Lanka Export Credit Insurance Corporation (SLECIC) is Sri Lanka’s sole Export Credit Agency, a government body under the Ministry of Finance, established in 1979 to secure Sri Lankan exporters financially. It provides export credit insurance and guarantees against buyer non-payment (commercial/political risks) and bank default on exporter loans, enabling confident market expansion and easier bank financing, and is a member of the global Berne Union.
