The Industrial Technology Institute (ITI) is Sri Lanka’s leading national R&D and technical services provider, a government-owned statutory body under the Ministry of Technology, established in 1998 as the successor to the Ceylon Institute of Scientific and Industrial Research (CISIR) (1955). ITI focuses on accelerating industrial development through innovative research (food, herbal, biotech, environment) and internationally accredited technical services (testing, calibration, consultancy) for public, private sectors, and MSMEs, aiming for national economic growth and technological advancement.
