General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) is Sri Lanka’s premier national defence university, established to train officers for the Tri-Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force) but also offering degrees to civilian students in defense, management, engineering, and more, focusing on high discipline, leadership, and producing well-rounded graduates for diverse careers in a scenic campus in Ratmalana. It’s recognized by the UGC and ACU, emphasizing quality education and research in defense and multidisciplinary fields.
