Minimum Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
- Two years of experience in development, alumni relations, or donor engagement.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Understanding of development processes.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a highly, higher education interactive environment.
- Ability to set priorities, manage multiple tasks, and complete assignments with minimal supervision.
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in a higher education or hospital fundraising role.
- Masters’ degree preferred.

Position Details
Position Purpose
Development Associate will lead the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine parent and alumni programs. Support and facilitate development office projects, excluding major gift work, for the School of Medicine. The Development Associate will take responsibility for development functions including annual staff/faculty fundraising (AUFD), cultivation events, stewardship, alumni efforts, and other development related efforts not directly linked to soliciting major gifts; not to exceed $24,999 and may include warming assignments. This position will participate in the coordination and execution of all School of Medicine sponsored events related to alumni and parents. The Development Associate will report to the Director of Philanthropy and must have experience in managing multiple tasks and a good working knowledge of development. Note: Evening and weekend hours may be required.
