Strategic Sourcing – Analyst

Job Summary: As a part of this role you will be part of a Best In Class Strategic Sourcing Organization. This position is key to the Strategic Sourcing team as it enables data driven decision making by designing and analyzing reports based on the collection of data related to the sourcing, contracting, management and performance of suppliers. This role will be a hybrid, so must be located in the Irving, TX area.
Responsibilities:

Essential Duties:

• Generate regular reporting in Excel and Power BI to track key Sourcing KPIs (Supplier Spend, Savings, etc.).
• Compile and present data in summaries or dashboards, driving value for Sourcing Team.
• Analyzes commodity and service requirements, creates RFPs, and reviews and analyzes bids.
• Maintain relationships with strategic suppliers, collect reporting and track supplier performance against SLAs.
• Analyze the expenditure base to identify cost reduction opportunities; build, documents and continuously updates/maintains market and product knowledge.
• Maintain data integrity of databases and make changes as required to enhance accuracy, usefulness, and access.
• Collect and rationalize data from multiple sources. Ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Mentor and educate the Shermco organization on contemporary sourcing practices and the value of applying them with third party providers to support Shermco business interests.

• Coordinate with sourcing team and peers to aggregate data and align reporting.
• May provide training to new and existing users of databases and reports.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field from four-year College and/or University desired
• Minimum of three years of related experience and/or training desired
• Experience working with standard accounting systems reports and data feeds
• Functional knowledge of procurement practices and requirements.
• Effective oral and written communication skills
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
