Senior Financial Analyst

Communications Agency in New York City is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their Finance team. Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting, strong advanced excel and 2-3 years of experience as a Financial Analyst is required.

Senior Financial Analyst Responsibilities:

• Senior Financial Analyst will manage inter-company budgets for timeliness and accuracy between offices
• Maintain financials to include billing, burn reports and revenue
• Senior Financial Analyst will provide financial support and monitor client budgets on a project basis
• Ability to partner closely between departments to ensure proper and accurate recording and reporting of financial and accounting transactions
• Senior Financial Analyst will document, follow up on, and close out revenue, budgeting, billing, invoicing, or payment issues that pertain to Client(s)
• Assist in the preparation and creation of annual budget & quarterly forecast
• Senior Financial Analyst will partner closely with departments to drive effectiveness and efficiency on billing process to ensure timely and accurate invoicing
• Ability to monitor estimates, rate cards and jobs to ensure accuracy
• Senior Financial Analyst will monitor project activity to ensure codes are opened/maintained/closed accurately in coordination with client service team and biller
• Ability to partner with client service teams to ensure monthly financial schedule is followed, including management, billing, percent effort complete
• Ability to serve as reliable and forward-thinking business analytics resource on accounts
• Serve as Liaison between various departments on financial matters

Senior Financial Analyst Qualifications:

• 2-3 plus years of Finance experience
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
• Strong advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of SAP and Hyperion preferred
• Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
• Agency experience preferred
• Organized with strong time management skills and attention to detail
• Strong financial analysis; good business acumen
• Ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and a proactive disposition
