Description

CGI has an immediate need for a Senior Salesforce Developer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest customers. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies.

We partner with 15 of the top 20 banks globally, and our top 10 banking clients have worked with us for an average of 26 years!. This role is located at a client site in Reston, VA. A hybrid working model is acceptable.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

The Senior Salesforce Developer will play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering complex Salesforce applications that support critical business functions. This role involves hands-on development using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and Salesforce APIs, as well as contributing to solution architecture and integration strategies.

The developer will work closely with business partners to translate requirements into scalable, well-architected solutions while ensuring compliance with Salesforce best practices, performance standards, and security guidelines. This position also includes responsibility for troubleshooting, code review, supporting testing cycles, and leading development efforts within an Agile environment.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

. 7+ years of overall software development experience.
. 4+ years of hands-on Salesforce development
. Extensive experience building enterprise-level solutions on the Salesforce platform.
. Strong competency with Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, SOQL/SOSL, and Salesforce integration patterns.
. Practical experience working with REST and SOAP APIs, OAuth, and third-party system integrations.
. Solid understanding of Salesforce architecture, including governor limits, security models, and platform constraints.
. Comfortable working with modern DevOps and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Salesforce DX).
. Ability to break down complex business needs into clear technical designs and deliverables.
. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery practices and iterative development.
. Strong front-end experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and UI frameworks used within Salesforce.
. Able to troubleshoot issues efficiently and contribute to code reviews and documentation.
. Adept at collaborating across teams, communicating clearly, and taking ownership of deliverables.
. Capable of leading initiatives and working independently in a fast-changing environment.
. Preferred Certifications: Salesforce Platform Developer I & II Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect Salesforce Certified Integration Architecture Designer Salesforce Certified JavaScript Developer I

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $95,800.00 - $136,400.00.
