Insurance Business Analyst

We are seeking a highly experienced Insurance Business Analyst with deep domain knowledge of the insurance industry and strong expertise in agency management systems, particularly Applied EPIC with Ivan + AL3 and Vertafore AMS and Guidewire PC, Majesco billing.

The ideal candidate will understand how AMS+ PAS (Policy admin) platforms interact with core insurance systems for Quote, Bind, and Issue processes from both agency and carrier perspectives. This role will play a key part in bridging the gap between business operations and technology.

This is a Full Time Employment Opportunity in Indianapolis, IN, in a Hybrid Model.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Act as a subject matter expert on insurance agency management systems, focusing on Applied EPIC and Vertafore AMS360.
Analyze, design, and support integrations between AMS platforms and core insurance systems (policy, rating, underwriting).
Collaborate with product, underwriting, IT, and agency stakeholders to ensure smooth Quote, Bind, and Issue workflows.
Gather business and technical requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
Provide support and troubleshooting for AMS-related issues and enhancements.
Participate in system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and training.
Monitor industry trends and make recommendations for improvements and innovation in AMS use and integration

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Minimum 8 years of experience in the insurance industry with a strong focus on AMS platforms.
SME with hands-on experience with Applied EPIC and Vertafore AMS with data set knowledge is mandatory.
In-depth understanding of Quote, Bind, and Issue workflows in a P&C insurance environment.
Experience with data flow between AMS and carrier systems.
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally with business and technical teams.
8 years of hands-on experience in insurance ams related document and customer relationship building

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with API integrations between AMS and core systems.
Familiarity with ACORD standards and insurance data models.
Prior experience in system implementation or migration projects..
Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail in identifying data anomalies and root causes.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with QA, data engineers, product owners, and business analysts.

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $88,200.00 - $154,300.00.
