JOB SUMMARY:

Provides patient-focused primary health care services at Redfern Student Health Center. Ensures compliance with the Joint Commission accreditation standards while providing services that are responsive to the needs of university students. Participates in performance improvement teams, committees, , and other assigned tasks to support objectives of Student Health Services. Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:

85% - Essential - Primary Care Management: Provides outpatient primary care (in office or remotely) for students, care of acute illness or injury for visitors, and worker's compensation care for employees of Clemson University. These services are to include preventative care, referral to resources within and outside of Student Health Services, and patient education.

10% - Essential - Compliance:
Maintains medical records in accordance with the Joint Commission accreditation standards, Student Health Services policies and procedures, and applicable laws.

5% - Essential - Performance Improvement:
Participates on Student Health Center performance improvement teams and committees as well as other university committees.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education - Doctoral / Professional Degree and completion of ACGME-accredited residency program
Certfications - Board Certified Primary Care Physician licensed to practice in South Carolina

No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.

Salary commensurate with experience


Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL

Essential Level 2 employee

Required to maintain/resume essential support functions, deliver direct care services, and/or provide recovery support before normal operations resume. Some positions in this category may be required to work remotely or be on-call.
