JOB SUMMARY:

University Supervisors are clinical educations who serve as a liaison between Clemson University and partner school sites within our network. Supervisors provide supervision and mentorship for teacher candidates during their field experiences, providing support and feedback throughout the program. Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB DUTIES:

70% - Essential - Observe teacher candidates while conducting classroom instruction and evaluate candidate assignments.

15% - Essential - Mentor and evaluate teacher education candidates during their clinical experiences/student teaching.

15% - Essential - Liaise with the cooperating teacher, teacher candidate, and College of Education.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education - Master's Degree - Related field
Experience - 3+ years of teaching experience in the supervising field.

RESPONSIBILITIES

JOB KNOWLEDGE
Fundamental Job Knowledge - Fundamental working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to apply in varied situations

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.

BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES
No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION

University Supervisors are paid per supervised student: $300 per practicum student, and/or $700 per teacher residency intern and/or student teaching intern.


Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
