Description
Coordinating terrestrial field crews comprised of graduate and undergraduate students, and liaising between university, federal, state, and nongovernmental partners to accomplish project objectives for PI's working in forested and high elevation environments. Project planning, data analysis, and drafting of reports. Other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
50% - Essential - Team development and management: Recruiting and staffing employees for terrestrial field crews. Coordinating field efforts and logistics among terrestrial field crews, including communication, travel and housing. Oversight of gear allocation, maintenance, and purchasing.
35% - Essential - Project development: Participate in scientific advising of graduate and undergraduate students; assist with data collection, analysis, and writing. Coordinating data management and QA/QC.
15% - Essential - Collaborator coordination: Work with external project collaborators to coordinate data management from projects in forested and high elevation environments, including standards of data collection and storage.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education - Bachelor's Degree - Relevant project management experience.
Work Experience - 1+ years project and personnel management in a field related to forestry or wildlife biology.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Education - Master's or Doctoral / Professional Degree - Natural Resources; Biology; Ecology; Forestry; Wildlife and Fisheries
Work Experience - 5+ years

COMPENSATION INFORMATION
Anticipated Salary Range - $57,700 - $75,000
Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.
